How does EVA work to relieve pelvic pain?

EVA uses Intra-Vaginal Electrical Stimulation (IVES) technology, a derivative of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, or TENS. TENS are medical devices that are placed on the skin to send mild electrical impulses to the nerves, blocking pain signals before they reach the brain.

Unlike TENS, which act through the skin, EVA's IVES targets the pelvic nerves directly by inserting into the vagina, offering more precise and effective relief for pain in this specific area. You could say that EVA acts like a shield, blocking pain before it reaches the brain.

Most users experience relief after just a few minutes. However, the effect may vary according to pain intensity and individual needs.

Is EVA suitable for all women suffering from pelvic pain?

EVA acts as a targeted painkiller, and can therefore be used for different types of pain in the pelvic region. At present, EVA is mainly focused on women suffering from severe menstrual pain, particularly associated with endometriosis, but other applications are also possible.

Does the use of EVA require medical supervision?

EVA can be used independently, without medical assistance. However, we recommend consulting a gynecologist to assess whether our device is suitable for your specific needs.

Is EVA comfortable to wear?

EVA is easy to insert, like other intravaginal devices. After insertion, it is designed to offer optimum comfort, and can be used without medical assistance.

After an IVES session, the device becomes almost imperceptible. However, some patients may feel a slight tingling during stimulation, a sensation that can be surprising but remains pleasant for most. Rest assured, an IVES session lasts a maximum of 30 minutes.

How long can I wear EVA continuously?

EVA can be worn for several hours without discomfort. However, only 2 to 3 IVES sessions a day are generally sufficient for optimal daytime relief.

How do I clean EVA after use?

EVA is made from high-quality materials that are safe and easy to clean. Simply follow the cleaning instructions provided, using water and mild soap, to ensure optimum hygiene.

Are there any contraindications to using EVA?

Certain conditions may require the advice of a healthcare professional before use, such as a retroverted uterus, vaginismus, or the presence of an IUD. Other special situations may also require prior medical consultation.

Can EVA be used during menstruation?

Yes, EVA can be used during menstruation. Its design has been specifically studied to adapt to the different moments of the female cycle and offer optimal comfort in all circumstances.

Can I use EVA in combination with other pain-relieving treatments?

EVA can generally be used in conjunction with other treatments, but it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional to tailor your pain management to your specific needs.

How do I know if EVA is correctly positioned?

EVA is designed for easy insertion and natural positioning. You shouldn't feel any discomfort when it's in place. If you have any questions about its positioning, please consult the instructions provided or ask a healthcare professional for advice.

What are the potential side effects of EVA?

EVA side effects are rare and may include tingling sensations or mild irritation. There is no risk of long-term effects, such as nerve damage or cancer.
